π²Tehachapi Trail Angel & Hiker Etiquette
- Leave No Trace at Highway 58: Never abandon trash bags, fuel cans, or damaged gear at the Cameron Road trailhead. Use the town dumpsters at Mountain Valley RV or town parks.
- Respect Local Businesses: Always put on clean town clothes before sitting on cloth furniture in dining rooms, and patronize local grocery and gear stores.
- Hitchhiking Safety: When hitching from Cameron Rd into town, stand safely off the roadway shoulder with a clear cardboard sign reading "TEHACHAPI". Drivers are mountain locals who know the trail well.
